About Me

Nicole von Gaza: Butte, Montana; I'm a new immigrant to Butte. I was first here the summer of 1997 and I vowed I'd move back for good someday. I have been here since 2006. I live Uptown in the hub district - an area just west of the main business district. Rather than the usual neighborhoods that surrounded the mines and housed workers, the hub district was home to many of Butte's business people. The larger, more ornate homes speak to their wealth. Also in the mix are smaller homes and apartment buildings, churches and schools. My home was built in 1893 by one of the first Uptown Grocers. It's a home I coveted in 97' and bought on 05'. Be careful what you wish for because the odds are you'll get it! This blog is about what's happening in the hub. Enjoy!
